Disillusioned?

Have you ever been so disillusioned by choices out of your control that you don't know what to believe or which way to turn?


Have you also noticed that when one is disillusioned by his or her own life choices, they coincide with the world they live in?  Again, coincidence or synchronicity?


That's where I am. Normally I can let of something I have no control over, but this one I can't, probably because I can't figure out the right and wrong of the decisions my country is making.


I used to believe that these political decisions by our administration were made to protect this country and its people, and to provide our allies with the troops necessary to protect their country and people. But the recent events and the atrocities against innocent people has caused me to question this.


I feel that I am awakening from my American dream stupor which has made me start searching for the questions to ask in order to find the truths. I'm not sure if I want to stay blinded and ignorant, or know the answers to that which I am seeking.
